當(dāng)介質(zhì)壓力低時(shí)，金屬密封面的密封力缺少以抵達(dá)滿足的密封。相反當(dāng)介質(zhì)壓力高時(shí)，假定密封面不需要系統(tǒng)介質(zhì)或外來介質(zhì)潤滑時(shí)，常常啟閉就可能使密封面磨損過大。另一個(gè)缺點(diǎn)是，在圓形流道上橫向運(yùn)動的圓形閘板只有當(dāng)它處在閥門關(guān)方位的50%時(shí)，這種閥門對流量的控制才較靈敏。并且，閘板在切斷高速和高密度介質(zhì)流時(shí)，會發(fā)作劇烈振動。假定將閥座做成V形通口并和閘板做緊密的導(dǎo)向，則它也可起到節(jié)流的作用。

When the medium pressure is low, the sealing force of the metal sealing surface is insufficient to achieve satisfactory sealing. On the contrary, when the medium pressure is high, it is assumed that the sealing surface does not need the lubrication of system medium or foreign medium, often opening and closing may cause excessive wear on the sealing surface. Another disadvantage is that the circular gate moving transversely on the circular flow channel is more sensitive to flow control only when it is 50% of the valve closing position.
